Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

1. Introduction

SynthBridge ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our MIDI software synthesizer application.

Regional availability. Some features described below — including Google AdMob advertising, Google Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring), Google Play In-App Review, Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchases, and SynthBridge Cloud resources — depend on platform services and regional availability. They may not be available to users in mainland China, where the App may be distributed without some third-party services and the corresponding data flows do not occur.

2. Data Collection

We do not operate user accounts, and we do not upload your personal SoundFont files, MIDI performances, or local settings to our own servers. The App functions primarily on your device. Subject to regional availability (see Section 1), the App may display advertisements through Google AdMob, uses Google Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring) to understand usage, diagnose crashes, and measure performance, and may contact SynthBridge Cloud to list, verify access to, and download Cloud resources. These features involve device identifiers, purchase entitlement information, and related technical data as described below.

3. Local Storage

All app settings, preferences, and configurations are stored locally on your device. This includes:

This data never leaves your device and is not uploaded to any server.

4. MIDI Data Processing

MIDI signals from connected devices (BLE, USB, or virtual) are processed locally on your device solely for audio synthesis. MIDI data is never recorded, stored permanently, or transmitted to external servers.

5. Subscription and Payment

Where available (see Section 1), in-app purchases in SynthBridge — including the SynthBridge Cloud Monthly and SynthBridge Cloud Yearly auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time products such as Pro or No Ads — are processed by the platform store: Apple App Store on iOS/iPadOS and Google Play on Android. Apple or Google handles payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not receive or store your payment details (credit card numbers, bank accounts, etc.). To provide subscription access, the App and our backend may process store product IDs, purchase tokens or transaction identifiers, subscription status, app version, platform, and request metadata. Purchase tokens and entitlement records stored by our backend are hashed or otherwise minimized where possible and are used to verify active access, prevent abuse, and provide Cloud downloads.

6. SynthBridge Cloud Resources

SynthBridge Cloud provides downloadable sound packs, rhythm packs, and style packs. When you browse or download Cloud resources, the App may contact our Cloud service to fetch catalog metadata, check whether your Cloud subscription is active, and deliver the selected resource. Requests may include the Cloud pack identifier, app version, platform, purchase entitlement information, and technical request data such as IP address and timestamps.

Cloud resources are downloaded only when you choose to browse or download them. Your own imported SoundFont files, MIDI files, recordings, and local performance data are not uploaded to SynthBridge Cloud.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The third-party services described in this section are subject to regional availability (see Section 1) and are not included in builds distributed to users in mainland China.

The App may show ads using Google AdMob, including App Open ads (for example when you return to the App from the background or after launch, subject to our implementation and policies). AdMob and its partners may use identifiers such as the advertising ID, IP address, coarse location, and technical device data to serve and measure ads. How Google uses data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Eligible in-app purchases (for example a dedicated "No Ads" product or Pro edition, as offered in the store) can remove these advertisements. New users are not shown App Open ads for twenty-four (24) hours from the first time the App is installed and launched on a device. After an App Open ad is shown, a short cooldown applies before another ad can appear (currently fifteen minutes), so returning to the App from the background in quick succession will not trigger repeated ads.

On iOS, you can limit ad tracking using device settings (for example "Limit Ad Tracking" / privacy settings). On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized ads in Google settings where available. Depending on your region, additional consent or choices may be presented in the App to comply with applicable law.

The App also uses Google Firebase for app health and product analytics:

Firebase data is processed by Google. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Other third-party services used by the App include:

The App may use Google Play In-App Review to invite feedback after positive milestones, such as saving a recording or completing MIDI playback. Review submission, your Google account, and any rating or review content are handled by Google Play. We do not receive your Google account details or private review submission data from this feature.

8. Third-Party Content

SynthBridge allows you to import SoundFont (SF2/SF3) files from external sources. We are not responsible for the content of SoundFont files you choose to import. Please ensure you have the right to use any SoundFont files you import.

9. Children's Privacy

Our App does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

10. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on the security measures you have in place on your device (screen lock, encryption, etc.).

11. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
